Mash-ups on Flickr: How fun I found out all kinds of things about maps, reality, crime.
Students could really have fun with this, but more importantly as adults and teachers we could use this often to search for things we need to know about people, places and things! Ha!

Chapter 5: Story:
Story telling is what all Americans are professional at, right? If you listen to anyone, wherever you go they are always telling a story. Sometimes they are very extraordinary or left field but who knows if it is real or a stretch of the imagination, we all listen! Worse than that we can expound upon it :( go figure?
Anyway, why should this be so thought provoking? Why aren't we constantly telling stories to teach? Are you kidding me, I have been teaching for 2... ish years, I am just now hearing this? Well, maybe I have heard it before but my memory is not what it used to be. One thing I do remember I was a good storyteller as a teacher but think I could do better at it now had I really thought about it in this way. Hmmmm?

MBAs - MFAs
Teaching has and will forever be changed by our present day need for entertainment. The left brain thinkers jobs are being outsourced and the right brain is becoming a prevalent need in our society to remain competitive. The need for engaging action, visuals and/or prupose is the gate at which our students constantly connect and engage.
We must engage our students in their learning so they can become engaging in their writing, learning and progression in education.

Thing 4 Like/Dislike
Love leaving comments, because I can add to the conversation my thoughts on their statement.
I am nervous about getting comments because I am afraid of making mistakes.
Commenting is so very important because you can grown and improve if you are open to suggestions.
Shared studnet writing can be good if kept positive and benificial.
I am a memeber of Facebook.
